Indoor League 2017

We will be entering a team in the SCB indoor league again this year. Allan Myatt has agreed to captain and organise the team.

Charlie Dillon

With sadness we learned of the passing of Charlie Dillon at the age of 80 years on 19th June. Charlie had been unwell for some time and he died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was well known for his contribution to the formation and development of St.Georges CC Disabled Cricket team. He will be fondly remembered by St.Georges members as a jovial character who continued to turn out for St.Georges league teams well into his seventies and also umpired. Our sincere condolences go to his family. The funeral will be held at Lawley Church on Monday July 3rd at 2:30 pm

2017 Registration for Junior Members

This year’s registration evening for junior members is on Monday 20th March 6:30 for 7:00 pm. If you didn’t make it, you can still register your child for membership. Just complete the form and send it to the address provided in the pack. Parents of children who were members in 2016 should have received a personalised registration pack in the post. However, if any have gone astray, or for new members, a blank copy can be downloaded here.

Sainsbury Active Kids Promotion

Once again, we have registered for the Sainsbury “Active Kids” promotion. When you shop at Sainsbury’s, please collect the “Active Kids” vouchers. There is a box in the club bar to drop them into. These vouchers can be used to buy equipment for our junior boys and girls, and we have had some useful stuff through the scheme in previous years.

Indoor Practice for seniors

We have booked some sessions for indoor practice at Shrewsbury School with first session taking place on Monday 20th February at 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. All players intending to play senior cricket this year are encouraged to attend. Please try and arrive ca. 10 minutes before the start of the session so we can best utilise the time available.
