St.Georges C.C. has for many years promoted the development of junior players.

Today, the majority of our senior players had their first introduction to cricket in our junior section.

The club was one of the very first in England to achieve ECB Clubmark accreditation. To qualify the club has to demonstrate that it can provide a safe environment for the enjoyment of cricket for young players.

The club is also actively involved in the “Chance to Shine” scheme, which is an initiative to introduce cricket into local state schools.

We have suitably qualified coaches to help children acquire and develop their cricketing skills.

Children are eligible to join as junior members from School Year 2 upwards. We have an established girls section which fileds teams in competitive matches.

We currently run teams at Under 10 through to Under 15 age groups.

Membership Registration Evening for 2014 is on Monday 31st March at 6:30 pm. Parents of existing members will shortly receive a registration pack in the post. To make the task a little easier for you, we plan to populate the forms with the information you gave us last year, so you only need to make any relevant corrections. Please try and write email addresses and telephone numbers neatly , as these don’t work unless they are exactly right!

Potential new members can also download a copy of the registration pack by clicking below:

Whilst we will do our best to help every junior player to develop his skills and ability, we will not lose sight of the most important

aspect of junior cricket – that it is fun!
