4th XI

First Victory for 4th XI!

Sat. 30 July:  St.Georges 4th XI notched their first win of the season today. Set a challenging total of 222 by Tibberton, the Dragons kept amassing runs throughout the innings, with contributions from David Whibley Law, Richard Sambrook and Ryan Forrester. All the time though, the scoreboard was kept ticking over by the lightning running between the wickets of club chairman Paul Taylor who finished on 124 not out. A few lusty blows from  Dave Pope in the final overs  saw St.Georges over the line with only a few balls to spare.

Shropshire League Survey

The FBC Manby Bowdler Shropshire league have asked all clubs to give their views on the following questions:

1. Does your Club think that single teams should be eligible for promotion to Div1?
2. Does your Club think that 3rd XIs should be eligible for promotion to Div1?
3. Does your Club think that, in general, 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams should be in a separate system as they were some years ago and as they are in the other three strands of the Birmingham League pyramid system?
