Once again, we have registered for the Sainsbury “Active Kids” promotion. When you shop at Sainsbury’s, please collect the “Active Kids” vouchers. There is a box in the club bar to drop them into. These vouchers can be used to buy equipment for our junior boys and girls, and we have had some useful stuff through the scheme in previous years.
A great turnout of juniors, parents and friends. Thanks to all those who organised the evening, especially Heath and Jane Forrester , who put in lots of work, including preparing all the food. More details soon. In the meantime click here to see photos
We would like to form a sub-committee made up of young members. The aim is to give our youngsters the opportunity to influence how the club is run, whilst gaining some administrative and organisational experience. Read more here…

We are holding a little “fun” competition this Sunday as a roundoff to the junior season. We would like as many parents and children as possible of Under 13s and younger, including the U7s and U8s “Junior Dragons” to take part. Get there for 10:30 ish. Finish time sometime in the afternoon, depending on numbers. Soft ball games, so don’t worry about your cricketing ability. Barbecue will be going and of course the bar will be open. Please let me know by text ( 07850 766518) or send a message via the “comments” tab on this post, so we know who is coming. We can then try and work out a format in advance. Hopefully the weather will play ball.
U14 player Sam Morgan has joined Jack Heath and Mitchell Hoof to become the third St.Georges junior player to score a hundred this season. He did it at Wolverhampton playing for the U15 team while St.Georges were chasing a big total of 274/5 , Jack Manning scoring 103 for Wolverhampton. Despite Sam’s century and good support from Matt Chesters (42) St.Georges could not quite reach the Wolverhampton total. Scorecard
On a fixtureless Sunday in July the U13 and U15 managers got together and organised a 40 over match for two teams made up of St.Georges Under 13s & Under 14s. The day was a great success and was well attended by parents, several of whom helped out with umpiring duties. Many photos were taken which can be viewed and downloaded from the photo gallery.
