The 1st XI completed the first half of the season with a winning draw at home against Worfield. Batting first, St.Georges had a disastrous start, being 12/4 at one stage. The innings was rescued thanks mainly to a superb knock of 87 not out by teenager Mitchell Hoof. He was supported by Anuj Chandla (24), Chris Waldron (30), Fraser Watson (15) and Hitshu Bachani(26no) to enable us to post a reasonable total of 216/7. Ben Byram(3/56) and Hitshu Bachani(4/22) made early inroads into the Worfield batting, but Manny Singh(68) and George Burt(38) put together a good partnership and then James Parker and Brett Oliver hung on at the end to stop St.Georges getting all the points. The 2nd XI faced a challenging target after Worfield made 252 all out, with Luke James, Dave Pope and Sam Morgan getting 3 wickets each. Avi Mathur then savaged the Worfield bowling for 130 and Lewis Sedgley made 68 not out and the target was reached with thirteen overs to spare for a six wicket win. The 3rd XI had to accept  defeat for the first time this season as they were soundly thrashed by Church Aston. Gurjeet Saini made 97 out of a Church Aston total of  238. Gurjeet then took 5/9 to decimate the St.Georges batting and we lost by 170 runs. Another win for our 4th XI  at home against Cound 3rd XI. Opener Dave Chesters made a solid start with 43 and later keeper Kareem Zaman hit a brilliant 83 not out to take us to 231/9.  We then bowled out Cound for 114 with Khurram Waris ending with figures of 4/17 in 8 overs.
